There is one thing that glares out at me in regard to the criticism you refer to.

It was all based on something that was never, personally, experienced. In some places the critic, calls online sources credible, in others he discounts them, (with no explanation as to why one might be right and another wrong) and over all he's judging something he never saw himself.

We are all entitled to our opinions, when they are based on how we honestly react to what we personally experience.

...but he never personally experienced anything in regard to what he criticized. That, to me, is wrong.

It's a noble thing to try, and do.

It is ignoble to criticize what one does not know and has never done.
