The End Of Something...
Well I finally had to take the shoulder stand out of the act
I have to admit I didn't do a good job of training Shonti for it
I allowed her to do things in the beginning that ended up ruining
The trick for the long run, and causing me a few scrapes lately
Mostly I was just in to much of a hurry to get it done
And the foundation wasn't solid enough
She poked a hole in my eyebrow the other night goofing around
And looking in the mirror I decided it was to close to my eye
I can always train another shoulder stand
Can't grow a new eye or head for that matter
She is still a great cat that does everything the others do plus
I just won't be doing this trick with her now
On a better note Kali is doing her hind leg jump better and better
She is landing the jump over Jai standing with little trouble
(Much easier then Jai did in the beginning)
Here are yesterday and today's videos
On another note
I am reading a great book called "The Age Of the Unthinkable"
It should be mandatory reading for everyone
Really changes the way you see the world around you...if you let it
And on the biggest note of all....
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO NATALIE AND I TODAY!!!
Nine years and still going strong
Thank you for being the greatest wife possible!!!

Very tricky! I LOVE U!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AND I HOPE WE HAVE 90 MORE YEARS TOGETHER!!!!
Casey,
It was a great run with Shonti on the shoulder stand. But she's sure not a baby anymore. Know you and she will both miss it but you are wise to let it go.
And, a very happy anniversary to you and Natalie. Hope you're having a great day.
Jack
I don't know if it is just my computer, but the video screen seems a lot skinnier than the video is... One cannot see Kali jumping over Jai. Can you fix this? I know in the original video the jump is within the border lol
Dont worry about it Casey...the act wont suffer one bit wwithout that trick...train ya another....
Lauren
Happy Anniversary, and many more.
Personaly I never saw the need to put myself in a vulnerable spot -that is my back to a cat, for two reasons. One, most people (towners) will think the cat is super tame and there is no danger, and second, it would scare the bejeezes out of me. Dennis 'Dion' Younger
Flirting with danger almost cost you more injuries. I am glad that you have chosen to stop this Casey. It was "cute", but for your own safety I believe that most people will think you have made a wise decision. Your acts are really great and removing this will not take away the "greatness" of what you do with them. You do great things, keep it up and keep coming with great new ideas!
Sad to see the shoulder stand go, but glad to see you have lots of sense left! =P
Happy Anniversary to you and Natalie!
Hope the fam is fantastic!
