Happy Thanksgiving

Eat Turkey
Drink some wine
Go to the family's
Have a great time

See your sister
and your cousin Bill
Shes a drunk and
He's strung out on pills

Eat and run
make it an early night
head down to dillons
before the big fight

Have a beer
in our infamous dive
take the back roads home
avoid a DWI

I have no idea where that just came from...

I guess I needed to write a poem this morning

Anyway...
It's been awhile

First
I walked off a job in the middle of the day
For the first time in my life
The new company was just pushing all the buttons
Till I couldn't take any more
Still a little fired up about all that
Got on a plane and just came home

Take that job, And shove it
Anyplace it will fit

Made it to Dillon's on MonWas a good night
A dude (Tom I think) who has become a regular
At the open Mic here, And is a great picker
Played my tune Mexico
That is a very cool feeling
He even added some cool
Brown eyed girl type riffs to it

Thanks Man!

And O'neal gave me the go to open a bunch of shows

Thank You my man!!
Twill be a honor
And a fucking blast

Ya'll be sure to get out and see
The M.O.B.
and me

Last night had a good time with
Cheney, Chesely and Golden
Chillin around Cheney's house
Swillin beer
Pickin the Flat top
Had a horrible disscusion with a guy about music

Recap
(dude) "His shit just isn't mainstream enough"
(me) "Whats wrong with that, the guy kicks ass"
(dude) "Is'nt the point to make your art for for as many people as possible?"
(me) "NO, Not if it means singing Honkytonk Bodonkedonk, what ever the fuck that means"
(dude) "That is a powerfull song, tons of people like it, and people who don't know about it, talk about it"

(me) "people talk about getting ass raped in prison, it still sucks,"
(dude) "you just can't make a living at it without songs like that"
(me) "Bullshit, ten years from now I will have shown you"
(golden) "Come on man, you know the song really sucks"
(cheney) "alright, the guys a cheese dick, and the song sucks, casey play us a tune man"
(dude) "play some garth"
(me) ROLLING MY EYES, FEELING SICK
(me) Playing Todd Snider's "I can't complain"

Dude just never gave up
Chester the CheesePuff
When you read this

I appolagize
But I gotta call it like it is
Specially after doggin on my man
Cause people like you
Keep People like him, and me off the radio

For now anyway
Can't silence me forever
I am too fucking loud

Was cool to hang with Golden and Chesley
Listened to some bootleg Pauls Interview cds
Very excited about putting the album together with
The P.I. band

Going to the neighbor's for turkey and pig today
Cool people, Good friends
World travelers, as missionaries
Double O7 type stuff in China back in the day

Then down to Dillons for
The M.O.B. show gonna be a good day
I am feeling it

"I was talking with my girlfriend,
told her I was stressed,
said I was going off the deep end,
she said for christ sakes give it a rest"

I fucking love cheese, man, preferably some thinly sliced smoked Gouda on a decent cracker, or perhaps even some fine feta on a Greek salad. And we all know how I love my salad tossed! I just don't care for cheese on my records, or on my radio. This is the reason I only play with a select few folks and I never turn on the radio.

Well it was a trip getting here from the Buckles Woodcock blog. Hell of a read. You have some great musical influences.

Got a good internet connection? If so, use a Winamp, go to shoutcast.com and dog a search for kpig, then give them a listen. Great California free form radio station that plays virtually everybody you like from Steve Earle, to Mr Dylan, to Rodney Crowell, James McMurtry, and everybody else who doesn't get the attention they deserve. All summer long I'd sit in my house on Carson and Barnes, and no matter how weather was was outside, the music inside was just fine.
