I remember the last "fight" I saw at Dillon's - pathetic. It was also surreal at the same time though as I was the ONLY person out of about 15 people in there that wasn't involved in some way.
People about two to three feet in front of me throddling and throwing each other, and I just sat there and calmly smoking my cigarette and sipping my long neck. I would have thought that at least someone wanted to reach out and punch the hippie for some odd reason or another but it never happened.
It was one of those times where you wished that there was a video camera around to record the shit. Unbelievable.
As for playing through the frey, we had to do that about ten years ago out at some country boy's dad's garage that we were playing a rock gig in. I mean when we showed up the first thing that we thought was, "Shit these cowboys all brought us out here to whip our asses", but they were far more concerned with beating each other. It was awesome!
These rednecks started pounding one another and we're playing a song aptly titled "Somber", and then followed it with "Love Never Dies". We played through the whole mess laughing the whole time. Classic memories!
