Wake up six o clock in Fritch Tx
Hop in the Explorer, pop in Dark Side of a Small Town
(like to hear lost train station early in the morning)
Go down to the Allsup's get some stale coffee and smokes
Go back to the show load up in the semi and me and the wife
are on our way
Then tradgedy,,,
The motor on my pick up with my wife driving freezes up
The $7,000 motor I just bought A year and a half ago
Wrecker in Amarillo wants $6 a mile to tow with my trailer on
So a wrecker in Borger comes and hauls just the truck
To Panhandle TX where the show is going for a low rate of $125
WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO?

Well we bought a new Dodge
Not new, new it's an 02
But new enough
Had to leave DNA sample and right testicle at time of purchase
But otherwise the day was better from there
I really love Fords and had great luck with the one that just died
But so it goes now I am A Dodge guy

Any how that was yesterday and this is a brand new day
Hoping to get at least one good song out of the day I had yesterday


We are in Floydada TX close to Plainveiw today
Gonna drop way south in the next few days
Only in TX for a couple more days then New Mexico
